As part of the Dutch state visit to Latvia, Connekt organized a seminar on sustainable ports and smart mobility in partnership with the Dutch embassy in Riga, the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) and Freeport of Riga.
The seminar was kicked off by introduction speeches of the Minister of Transport of Latvia and Mark Frequin from the Ministry of Transport in the Netherlands. Both emphasized the importance of cooperation across borders: “we are not competitors but excellent cooperation partners. Only by assisting & supporting each other, we can achieve full progress in transport & logistics”.
Mischa van den Berg, supply chain manager DIS at Refresco and recently appointed Lean & Green ambassador, highlighted the support of data analysis on the way to zero emission through the new Lean analytiX method, which helps companies to calculate their CO2 emissions and measure their carbon productivity. Furthermore, he also invited all the participants of the seminar , particularly the Latvian companies, to the Lean & Green Europe program in order to join forces for a sustainable and zero emission future, following Lean & Green Europe’s motto:
0% Emissions through 100% Collaboration!
Subsequently, Connekt seized the great opportunity to discuss the outcomes of the seminar with His Majesty, King Willem-Alexander and the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs, Stef Blok.
